The Armed Forces of Ukraine assert that they maintain full control over one of the main logistic routes used by the Russian army in southern Ukraine, namely the road between Mariupol and Chonhar, part of the so-called terrestrial corridor to occupied Crimea.

According to the Ukrainian army, drone units are constantly striking trucks and military vehicles traveling on this route, used by Russia for the transport of troops, ammunition, fuel, and other materials necessary for military operations. Kiev maintains that these attacks have significantly hindered the supply of Russian forces in the south and have turned the road into a high-risk area, reports Dialog.

Ukrainian military also claim that residents in the occupied territories are increasingly noticing explosions and destroyed military equipment, in contrast to the official Kremlin messages stating that the situation is under control.

Also, the Armed Forces of Ukraine claim that the Russian army would try to protect their military convoys by moving trucks among civilian vehicles. Kiev urges residents of the occupied areas to avoid, as much as possible, the routes used by Russian troops and not to put their lives at risk.
