On August 18, several NATO military aircraft were observed near the Kaliningrad region. A spokesperson for the North Atlantic Alliance stated that an operation involving American and Norwegian fighter jets, Polish ground units, as well as other forces, is taking place, with the mission being led by the USA.
OSINTdefender analysts assert that flights of military aircraft such as E-3 AWACS and ARTEMIS II in the region are not unusual. However, the presence of the most recent electronic warfare aircraft EA-37B near the enclave could indicate that the USA and NATO may need to collect data in the area.

The Kaliningrad region is considered one of the most militarized in Russia. In May, Russian President Vladimir Putin promised that he would “destroy from the ground up” any country that decides to attack the Kaliningrad region. He also warned that a blockade of the region could lead to a large-scale war between Russia and NATO.
