The financial situation of Russian companies is deteriorating, and the fuel crisis is exacerbating the problems of the economy, Sberbank Vice President Taras Skvortsov told Reuters.
According to the official of the largest bank in Russia, in recent months there have been “disturbing trends” regarding the quality of the loan portfolio granted to companies.
More and more companies facing difficulties in repaying loans are requesting credit restructuring, and the volume of non-performing debts is increasing, against the backdrop of high interest rates.
“We see what’s happening in the fuel market. All of this, of course, affects the economic situation of many companies”, stated Taras Skvortsov.
