Maria Zakharova reacted hysterically after the summoning of the agreed Russian ambassador, Oleg Ozerov. The spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry is puzzled as to why water from the Dniester was placed on the diplomat’s table.
The official from Moscow assumed that the authorities in Moldova might have intentionally sought the Kremlin’s support in this way, in order to carry out the analysis of the samples in Moscow, reports realitatea.md. At the same time, Zakharova accused Chisinau that, in addition to the “murky liquid”, the results of laboratory tests were not presented.
“In the absence of real possibilities to conduct expertise, maybe they wanted our ambassador to convey the request to Moscow, to help, to see what is in that water. I do not judge who came up with this action. I do not believe it is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova,” Zakharova said.
The agreed ambassador of Russia, Oleg Ozerov, was summoned on Monday to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The diplomat received a protest note after Russian troops bombed the hydroelectric power station in Novodnestrovsk. According to the authorities in Chisinau, as a result of the attack, fuel leaked into the Dniester. Consequently, several localities in the north of Moldova were left without tap water.
