Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski has issued a direct warning to the leadership in Minsk, demanding that Belarus demonstrate it does not support Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. The leader in Kiev has given a one-week deadline for the dismantling of Russian communication equipment located near the Ukrainian border, which he claims is being used to coordinate attacks on the civilian population.

In his video message transmitted Saturday evening, Zelenski argued that the unofficial statements of the Belarusian authorities, according to which Minsk does not wish to get involved in the war, must be supported by concrete measures.

“If you are against war, stop the aid given to Russia”

“Belarus must act in accordance with what its leadership conveys through unofficial channels, so that we, in Ukraine, can see that it is truly against this war”, declared the Ukrainian president.

According to Zelenski, there are currently four relay stations operating on the territory of Belarus, used by the Russian army for coordinating drone and missile attacks against Ukraine.

These facilities are located in the Gomel and Brest regions, close to the Ukrainian border.

The leader from Kiev asserts that the said equipment has contributed to attacks on the regions of Zhytomyr, Rivne, and Volyn, where energy infrastructures, railways, and civilian areas were targeted.
