Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski is the main obstacle to peace in Ukraine, as currently neither Russia, the United States, nor even Europe oppose negotiations to end this war, stated Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko.

“I tended to blame European leaders for their inability to reach agreements, but I received a lot of information in recent days that it’s not the USA, which wants progress on this issue, nor Russia, which is ready to negotiate, nor European leaders, but the problem lies with Zelenski,” he argued, in statements broadcast on Russian public television on Sunday.

Lukashenko, who has already urged his Ukrainian counterpart to urgently negotiate with Russia if he doesn’t want to lose his country, reiterated his warning.

“Urgent action is needed. Russia is advancing on the front line. I say this responsibly, as I observe this situation every day. And this could lead to the disappearance of Ukraine as a state,” he warned, according to EFE, quoted by Agerpres.

Following the warnings made by the Belarusian president at the end of September, Zelenski responded that Lukashenko lives in his own world, one periodically visited by Russian President Vladimir Putin with whom he “discusses old men’s matters” in corners to harm the rest of the world.
