Trilateral talks between the United States, Ukraine and Russia will take place in the United Arab Emirates on November 10–11. The discussions will focus on a ceasefire and a possible peace agreement or armistice between Moscow and Kyiv.

Steve Witkoff made the announcement. The U.S. envoy revealed that Washington would hold talks with the leaders of France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the European Union and NATO ahead of the meeting.

Shortly after the announcement by the US leader’s envoy, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced that Volodymyr Zelensky would visit Berlin. The Ukrainian leader is expected in the German capital on the afternoon of October 3.

The Kremlin has confirmed its participation in the meeting in Abu Dhabi. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the Russian delegation would be led by Vladimir Medinsky, an adviser to the Russian president.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky did not rule out ceding territory in the event of a ceasefire, provided the West gave Kyiv security guarantees. The Ukrainian leader also said he could halt strikes on Russian oil facilities if EU countries and the United States supplied Ukraine with Patriot air defense systems.
