The daughter of the former Russian Minister of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, Ksenia, has become the director of a company engaged in the extraction of rare metals from Siberia. This is about the Foundation that develops the “Mendeleev Valley” center.
The appointment decree was signed by the Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on February 2. Previously, the position was held by Sergei Shoigu’s deputy, Alexandr Maslenikov.
The “Mendeleev Valley” center was established in 2019. The institution is monitored by the Russian security council, ministries responsible for industry, trade, natural resources, economy and energy, as well as a Russian state corporation.
Ksenia Shoigu is the youngest daughter of the former Kremlin Minister of Defense, Sergei Shoigu. After resigning from the Russian government, the official became a secretary in the Security Council of Russia.
In addition to coordinating the “Mendeleev Valley” foundation, Ksenia is also affiliated with other state projects and investments in Russia.
