Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski announced on Thursday that the special forces of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) struck a headquarters of the FSB in the occupied territory of Crimea, in an operation in which a Russian anti-aircraft system Pantsir-S1 was also reportedly destroyed.
According to the leader from Kiev, Russian losses amount to approximately one hundred soldiers killed or injured.
The operation was carried out by the Special Operations Center “A” of the SBU, and Zelenski also published a short video material to mark the success of the action, reports the Ukrainian portal unn.ua.
“The Russian FSB agents’ headquarters were hit and the “Pantsir-S1” anti-aircraft complex on our temporarily occupied territory was destroyed. Only due to this operation, Russian losses amount to about a hundred killed and wounded occupants. The Russians must feel that they need to end this war. Ukrainian sanctions in the medium and long term will continue to operate,” Volodimir Zelenski conveyed on Facebook.
The attack comes in the context of the intensification of Ukrainian operations in Crimea, where Kiev targets the Russian military infrastructure, command centers, and anti-aircraft defense systems.
