President Vladimir Putin has reportedly given an ultimatum to General Valeri Gherasimov, the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian army, to capture the city of Pokrovsk by mid-November.

According to agents of the “Atesh” movement, which includes officers from one of the Russian military groups, dissatisfaction with Valeri Gherasimov’s activities is growing in the Kremlin.

According to the publication’s sources, the Kremlin is extremely dissatisfied with his activity, the constant failures on the front, and the distorted presentation of the real situation. It is assumed that Gherasimov has provided Putin with false reports several times, including about the “capture” and “encirclement” of Ukrainian units which, in fact, continue to maintain their positions.

Even a part of Russian propagandists is now forced to admit that the general’s reports do not correspond to reality.

Against the backdrop of Kremlin pressure, Russian forces have intensified assaults in the Pokrovsk area. Ukrainian military report massive attacks with huge losses for the occupiers, as the Russian command throws dozens of units into battle without adequate support of armored vehicles and artillery.

Such a tactic, according to experts, does not indicate offensive success, but panic and Gherasimov’s attempt to demonstrate “results” at any cost before the deadline.

According to information from the “Atesh” movement, candidates to replace Gherasimov are already being discussed in Putin’s entourage. The most likely successor would be Lieutenant General Viktor Poznihir, known as a more controllable and loyal officer to the Kremlin.
