The situation in Pokrovsk, a city on the front line in eastern Ukraine, remains extremely tense. According to military analysts from the DeepState project, Russian units have managed to penetrate several neighborhoods, where they are setting up observation points and temporary positions.
Russian forces are infiltrating from the south of the town, along the Zvirove–Shevchenko–Novopavlivka axis, as well as along the railway line from Kotline. The presence of enemy troops has been confirmed in several residential areas in the city, creating a so-called “gray zone” between Ukrainian and Russian positions.
This situation significantly complicates the missions of Ukrainian units, especially as Russian reconnaissance groups frequently change their locations to avoid drone strikes.
In recent days, observers from the DeepState platform, close to the Ukrainian army, have noted an increase in enemy activity in the eastern direction, near the town of Rivne, and in the north of Pokrovsk, where more and more Russian infantry is concentrating.
According to sources, high-ranking commanders of the Ukrainian army have arrived in the area to assess the situation and coordinate counterattack operations. The involvement of specialized units in missions to “cleanse” the city of infiltrated Russian groups is being considered.
