The buyers of the Russian Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK) have discovered a new palace belonging to Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the Black Sea coast – this time in Crimea. This property allegedly owned by Putin is equipped with a private clinic, operating room, a vast spa complex, and a helipad.

“At first, the site of this palace was a building belonging to the Mys Aya sanatorium. Later, Viktor Yanukovych [the former pro-Russian Ukrainian president – ed.] fell in love with the place and demolished everything there, cut down old trees, and began to build his summer residence. After Putin annexed Crimea in 2014, Yanukovych’s property was confiscated and transferred to state ownership. Now, a veritable palace stands here.”

According to FBK, the main building has an area of over 9,000 square meters, while the guest house spans almost 5,000 square meters. The site also includes separate buildings for staff, technical facilities, and a newly built helipad. Underneath the property is a private promenade, a pier, and an artificial beach with white sand.

“This palace was built with the same money and using the same ‘wallet’ scheme as the palace in Gelendjik. On paper, the property is registered through a chain of companies. The nominal owner is SRL Bereg, linked to the Golden Gate company, whose owners are confidential. The same lawyers – Belkin, Ulyanov, and Shahov – appear in proxies as in the case of the Gelendjik palace. The technical specifications for interiors explicitly list the requirements of the Federal Protection Service, which rules out the version of a ‘private summer residence’: the Federal Protection Service only protects the president,” the investigation states.

The main contractor is the management company Credo, which has built and serviced both official and unofficial residences of Putin in Gelendzhik, Valdai, and Krasnaya Polyana.

Investigators have published plans and photos from inside the palace, including the main residence and the guest house.

In the main building, on the top floor, there is a huge bedroom, in the far corner of which is an air irradiation-recirculation unit – equipment typically used in hospitals and clinics. Such devices, with ultraviolet lamps to disinfect the air by killing bacteria and viruses, have been previously observed in Putin’s office and in his Kremlin apartment.
