The Kremlin’s warrior elites are calling for Russia to join Iran’s conflict with America “by all means possible,” as panic grips Moscow that the regime could become the next target of American President Donald Trump, writes The Sun.
Hardline figures from the Kremlin’s power circles are calling for the creation of an “authoritarian military coalition” to support Tehran, warning that the United States will “remove everyone in turn” if Russia does not intervene.
Russian MP Aleksei Juravlev, vice-chairman of the parliamentary defense committee in the State Duma, called for immediate military support for Iran:
“This is not a situation where we can limit ourselves to protest notes, but we must support Iran before it is too late, by all means possible, including military support”, Juravlev declared.
He also called for the formation of a new anti-Western bloc, warning: “It is clear that the United States no longer tries to negotiate with anyone and will attack a new adversary with renewed force. They must be stopped at these lines, supplied with weapons, information and everything necessary for Iran to be able to resist this army. It would even be logical to create a military coalition for this confrontation, otherwise the collective West will remove everyone in turn.”
Colonel-General Andrei Kartapolov, head of the defense committee, launched a scathing attack on Russian state television. He questioned any moral authority of the “hyenas” from the West who criticize Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine or even Russia itself.
