The filling stations of Rosneft, as well as those of Bashneft and TNK (which are part of the Rosneft structure), have banned the sale of gasoline in cans in all regions of Russia. According to the publication “Verstka”, the helpline operators explain the measure by the “seasonal increase in demand”.
“Refueling is only allowed in the vehicle’s tank. This rule applies to all stations in the Rosneft, Bashneft, and TNK networks. The information is valid for all customers in Russia. The restrictions are temporary,” one of the operators stated.
He specified that the rules can change and recommended customers to check the information directly at the fuel stations.
Another operator added that, as a rule, there is a limit of 90 liters of fuel for each car at the network stations.
Amid the fuel crisis, gas stations in many regions of Russia are introducing various restrictions: limits on the amount of fuel that can be purchased, prohibitions on filling canisters, or even ticket systems for buying fuel.
Some of these measures are extended at the federal level.
