The agreed Ambassador of Russia, Oleg Ozerov, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The official arrived in the diplomatic mission’s Mercedes right up to the doorstep of the institution.
A person in the car first took out Ozerov’s jacket, then helped the Russian official put it on. The agreed ambassador made no statements to the press before discussing with the representatives of diplomacy from Chisinau, writes realitatea.md.
Ozerov received a protest note, after the fall of an explosive drone in Copanca. The official claims that he asked the Chisinau administration for evidence to confirm that it was a Russian flying device.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned today the agreed ambassador of the Russian Federation to Chisinau, in connection with the incident on the night of July 13, when the airspace of the Republic of Moldova was illegally flown over by a drone carrying explosives. The ambassador was handed a protest note from the Moldovan side regarding this serious violation of national sovereignty and the risks created for the security of citizens,” the diplomacy from Chisinau transmitted, after the summons.
A drone fell on Sunday night into Monday in Copanca, Căușeni. The device was a Gheran-2 type, weighed about 40 kilograms and was loaded with explosives. It was safely detonated by the National Army soldiers.
