The Tiraspol regime still wants tax benefits. The alleged supreme soviet of Transnistria will approve an address to the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
The subject was discussed by the separatist officials at one of the alleged committees of the so-called legislative body in the region, reports realitatea.md. According to a statement published on the official page of the institution, “for Transnistrians, this means a humanitarian disaster and the halt of the industry. The deputies of the Supreme Council of the PMR intend to urge the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova to give up the announced measures”.
The lifting of tax facilities for Transnistria is expected to begin in June 2026. That’s when the excise taxation for products such as alcohol and tobacco will be initiated, and the VAT exemption for natural gas delivered in the region will be eliminated, which will be taxed according to general rules, including the application of the reduced rate established at the national level.
Subsequently, the measures will be gradually extended, and by 2030 all existing tax exemptions for economic agents from the left bank of the Dniester will be completely eliminated.
