Only one day after the strong attack of Russian troops on the city of Sumy, resulting in 34 deaths, Donald Trump launches accusations against Volodymyr Zelensky and former American leader Joe Biden, who “allowed the beginning of the war in Ukraine”.
On Monday, April 14, just one day after the Russians unleashed a brutal attack on the city of Sumy on Palm Sunday, resulting in the death of 34 Ukrainians, Donald Trump posted a message on his Truth account saying that the main culprits are Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his predecessor at the White House, Joe Biden, for allowing Russia to start this war.
He claims that the war between Russia and Ukraine is Biden’s war, not his, because he only recently took office. He also emphasized that during his previous term, he had no problems preventing the war, as Vladimir Putin respected him.
“The war between Russia and Ukraine is Biden’s war, not mine. I’ve only just arrived and, for four years during my term, I had no problem preventing it from happening. President Putin and all the others respected your president! I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS WAR, BUT I AM WORKING HARD TO STOP DEATH AND DESTRUCTION.
If the 2020 presidential elections had not been tampered with, and they were, in so many ways, this horrible war would never have happened. President Zelensky and corrupt Joe Biden did a terrible job, allowing this parody to start. There were so many ways to prevent this. But that is in the past. Now we need to stop it, AND QUICKLY. SO SAD!”, wrote Donald Trump on his Truth account.
For his part, Volodymyr Zelensky invited the American President to come to Ukraine and see the destruction caused by Vladimir Putin’s army.
“Please, before any decision, any form of negotiation, come and see the people, civilians, soldiers, hospitals, churches, destroyed or dead children. Come, look and then… let’s make a plan… to end the war,” the Ukrainian President asked Donald Trump.
Volodymyr Zelensky also stated that Vladimir Putin’s “narrative” has been taken up by some members of the American administration, especially Vice President JD Vance, whose speech seems to justify Russia’s actions.
