Ukraine’s drone attacks have put out of operation eight warehouses of the Russian company Wildberries, with a total area of about 860,000 square meters, which represents about 15% of the entire storage capacity of the online retailer, reports the independent publication “Verstka”.
The greatest loss was recorded at the warehouse in Elektrostal, Moscow region, where a fire caused by the attack on July 18 destroyed approximately 250,000 square meters, and an employee lost his life. Another approximately 170,000 square meters of logistics spaces were affected following an attack on a center in Ryazan, where, according to published images, the building was completely engulfed in flames.
Another four warehouses, located in the Tambov, Krasnodar, Stavropol, and Saint Petersburg regions, were destroyed in fires that broke out after drone attacks. Eight people died in two of these incidents.
According to the investigation, four other Wildberries logistics centers were targeted by attacks, but no fires or major destructions were reported.
