The US President, Donald Trump, stated on Thursday that he asked Vladimir Putin to let him alone resolve the “damned war” in Ukraine. Moreover, Trump declared himself “a bit upset” with the Kremlin leader because a peace agreement has not yet been reached in this conflict.
“I’ve ended 8 wars and I have one more to resolve. You know which one,” Trump said during a US-Saudi Arabia business and investment forum held in Washington. “I thought it would be the easiest to resolve, because I have a good relationship with President Putin”.
“But I’m a bit upset with President Putin now. And he knows it,” added the American president. Trump gave as an example the way in which, he claims, he managed to end the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“You know what happened in Azerbaijan. I resolved that: it was a war that had been going on for several years there”.
Trump specified that he was called by Putin who was surprised by the end of the conflict in Azerbaijan.
In fact, Putin called me and said: I can’t believe you resolved this. We’ve been trying to resolve it for a long time. I told him: Don’t worry about that. Let me resolve this damned war for you. You don’t need to help me, I don’t need any help. We will resolve it”.
According to the source, among the 28 points of the “agreement”, territorial issues are particularly mentioned – Ukraine must recognize the occupied territories as being Russia’s, including Crimea. Also, one of the points is a limitation of Ukraine’s ability to attack long-distance targets – so that the Ukrainian army can no longer attack Russia. It is very likely that the Kremlin regime wants to eliminate any military capacity.
