Russian President Vladimir Putin received on Tuesday at the Kremlin the political leader of the Bosnian Serbs, Milorad Dodik, the Russian presidency announced, as reported by AFP.
Milorad Dodik is wanted by the Bosnian justice in an investigation for an attack on the constitutional order. The Kremlin released a video of the two leaders shaking hands before sitting down around a table.
“I am very glad to see you in Moscow,” Putin told Dodik.
The Russian President’s foreign policy advisor, Yuri Ushakov, “also took part in the meeting,” the Kremlin said.Milorad Dodik announced on Monday that he had arrived in the Russian capital, four days after an international arrest warrant was issued against him by the Bosnian justice system.Later, he posted a video taken at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, right in front of the red walls of the Kremlin. In the footage, Dodik praised “the historical leader (…) of the Russian people, Vladimir Putin,” and criticized “the globalist elite, who seek to fragment Russia itself.”Milorad Dodik is wanted by the Bosnian State Prosecutor’s Office in an investigation for an attack on the constitutional order, after a series of secessionist actions taken by the autonomous institutions of Republika Srpska (RS), the Serbian entity in Bosnia.
