The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday that it had summoned the German ambassador to Moscow and accused Berlin of supporting Ukrainian attacks on Russian civil infrastructure through military cooperation and arms deliveries to Kiev, reports Reuters.
The Ministry has communicated to the German ambassador that Russia considers the ever-increasing support given to Kiev by Berlin to be unacceptable.
The Ministry led by Sergey Lavrov invoked military cooperation agreements, direct arms deliveries, and joint projects for the development of drones, missiles, and other weapons which, according to Moscow, are used in attacks on civilian infrastructure in Russia.
Both Ukraine and Russia have intensified their attacks on each other’s infrastructure in recent weeks. Both sides deny targeting civilians. Western countries, including Germany, provide military and financial assistance to Ukraine.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also criticized Germany’s stance on third countries’ relations with Russia, including the ties between Russia and China.
Earlier in the month of July, Germany had urgent discussions with the Chinese ambassador in Berlin regarding information that China was allegedly training Russian soldiers.
